As the last episode was completed on a note where the family had revealed the news of Mohit's death.
Neil's family has sympathy for the dead and says if they had known, they would have waited a few more days.
Juhi's father tells that Mohit would have been happy if he were here and wanted this for Juhi, so they should continue. Neil is introduced to the family; they joke around to make the situation less tense.
They request that the girl and boy meet, as the family already has seen and knows each other.
Neil's mother asked for Mohit's wife and family; as Aditi was standing outside, they introduced her as Mohit's eldest daughter. Neil is disappointed seeing this. They ask if Juhi is ready and call her; Neil is pressured that the family is already broken; he should not break them more by saying no to the rishta.
Neil's parents ask if they can meet Mohit's wife so that they can talk to her and pay their regards.
Neil's parents meet Laxmi and pay their regards to her; Mukta is in shadow, so Neil couldn't see her. Laxmi tells them she fears that her daughter will get married like Juhi. Everyone fears that things might get out of control. Everyone is confused listening to Laxmi's cryptic statements.
They change to the topic that Neil and Juhi should meet now. Aditi asks Teju to take Juhi with her outside; Teju fears that everyone might react in a bad way if she goes outside. Juhi also asks her to accompany. Teju agrees.
