Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th August 2025 Written Episode Update: Will Armaan and Abhira Get Back Together? Will Anshuman Die Listening to This?

The episode starts with Armaan being in a positive mood; even Maira notices that his smile is reaching to his eyes. She tells him, while Kaveri tells Abhira that she is looking different. Abhira says she has lifted a burden from herself, saying she has forgiven Armaan, while Armaan informs Vidya about this as well. Abhira says how she was not at peace, and now that is different. Armaan also says he used to feel guilt while smiling, and now he doesn't feel that, while Vidya tells him to smile more and says, "Now what is stopping them from getting back together?" She asks him to think, saying Abhira will become Anshuman's tomorrow.

When it was time for pooja, Anshuman took Abhira's hand. Everyone did aarti in pairs, but when it was Anshuman and Abhira's turn, he received a call. He went outside. Maira saw couples doing aarti together, and she urged her parents to do the same. While Armaan reminds himself that it is too late now and he should not get distracted, Abhira thinks the same—that she is about to get married to Anshuman tomorrow.

The next morning, a sequence shows that Abhira is dressing up as a married woman, and she goes to wake Armaan, and she falls on him, and they have a romantic moment, and Maira interrupts them, and they banter and laugh it off, and like a normal family, they dress up and go downstairs, and soon they both wake up from sleep. Armaan gets furious at himself, saying Abhira was hers till he left her, and now she is Anshuman's. He keeps repeating that Abhira is Anshuman's.

While Abhira too regrets dreaming this, saying there is a limit to dreams, and if she wants to dream like this, she doesn't deserve to sleep. While Abhir brings the Shadi's attire, Abhira gets anxious and scared and runs away. Abhir follows her and asks her if she even wants to get married. Whereas Kaveri is urging others to join her in court for Anshuman and Abhira's wedding, the others are against it; they try to tell her to convince them otherwise and not let this wedding happen. Kaveri says they have made their decisions. While Tanya overhears this and speaks that she only wants those in the wedding who truly want to be there for him, she says that she is going to get Anshuman ready.

While Abhira, sitting in front of the mirror, reminds herself to smile, saying today is her marriage, not a fake smile but a real smile, while Armaan's rage has taken over as he regrets his decision of eloping and taking Maira away and pushing his picture-perfect family. He is taking his anger out on things as he smashes them, saying, "Why is he feeling regret now? Vidya comes to stop him, saying breaking things won't do anything. She tells him to do something; otherwise Abhira will get married. Armaan says, "With what right?" He says, "What will happen to Anshuman and Geetanjali?" Vidya asks him to forget everything and think about his family and says to win Abhira's trust again. Armaan says their relationship can't be the same as it was 7 years back, and Vidya motivates him to get back what was his. While Maira comes to Abhira's room, Abhira is all dressed up, and Maira asks if she is not happy. As her smile is not reaching to her eyes.

Precap: Geetanjali threatens Armaan that she will kill herself if he leaves her for Abhira, while Armaan promises he won't. While Abhira and Anshuman are in a cafe, they talk about something.
