What Does Indian Idol Season 15 Winner Manasi Ghosh Have to Say?

Indian Idol Season 15 finally came to an end, with Manasi Ghosh winning this season. The grand finale took place on April 6, 2025.

Manasi hails from Kolkata and is aged 24. Manasi not only won the trophy but also the hearts of viewers, a ₹25 lakh cash prize, and a brand-new vehicle. Indeed a great achievement for her.

This season 15 had started in October 2024, and the final competition was amongst Subhajit Chakraborty, Sneha Shankar, Chaitanya Devadhe (Mauli), Priyangshu Dutta, and Anirudh Suswaram.

Where Subhajit finished as the first runner-up and Sneha as the second runner-up.

The Final Battle

Subhajit Chakraborty was the first runner-up, while Sneha Shankar secured the third position. Both showed intense emotion and great competitive spirit.

Each was respectively awarded ₹5 lakh.

Additionally, Priyangshu Dutta and Chaitanya Devadhe Mauli, who finished in fourth place, received cheques of ₹3 lakh each.

Manasi, like any other contestant, gave her all and won the hearts of the audience with her soulful performance again and again, reported she said, “I’m feeling very well. I’m still in disbelief that I’ve lifted the trophy. Everyone has won, but I’ve lifted the trophy; that’s the only difference. I can’t express my happiness and excitement, but I’m really overwhelmed. My journey was really fun, and I’m very happy about it.”

This season's panel was led by Vishal Dadlani, Shreya Ghoshal, and Badshah. The involvement of these judges and the feedback and support towards the contestant made the season a successful one.

Future Plans

Manasi reportedly has said that “I want to use some amount from the prize money on my independent music and the car I will use.”

When asked about who she will like to sing for, she revealed that she has already recorded her first Bollywood song and looks to lend her voice to actresses like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.
