Vikrant Massey confirmed on doing Dostana 2 with Dharma Productions!

Actor Vikrant Massey who started off his career with Hindi TV Industry took a U-Turn towards Hindi Film Industry and is one of the most talented actors of his generation. The actor has also managed to be one of the most bankable stars in the country by his performance and craft. 

Recently in a interview Vikrant confirmed that he is doing Dharma Productions Dostana 2. He said the news is already out about my confirmation but I don't know why I haven't spoken about it yet. I am doing my first Dharma movie. 

He told the news portal that he will be seen in an altogether different avatar which his fans and audiences haven't seen yet. He said in the film I will be wearing good designer clothes. Karan Johar sir will make sure I wear good clothes and I wear fancy sunglasses. We will be shooting somewhere in Europe. 

Vikrant however did not reveal the female lead of Dostana 2. He said I won't reveal that Karan sir will say it is a big announcement. Whereas, he confirmed Lakshya Lalvani's casting and said I will be seen alongside Lakshya. 

The Lootera actor said Lakshya is a part of the movie. But let the girl be a surprise. However, for the female part earlier the news had come out that Karan will launch a debutant actress with this film. 

Currently some reports suggest that Janhavi who was a part of the original cast when first announced by Karan will be the female lead. However, the makers or Janhavi have not officially announced or issued any official statement on the same. 

Earlier when Dostana 2 was announced Janhavi Kapoor, Lakshya Lalvani and Kartik Aaryan was cast. But after tha infamous fall out of Karan and Kartik in 2021 Dharma decided to drop Kartik Aryan. Later the production house confirmed that they will go ahead with Dostana 2. 

The makers have cracked a good script which can be given a shape of a franchise ahead. Dostana 2 film is currently in its pre-production phase and is said to go on floors early next year. The makers are aiming to release the film at the end of next year. 

On the work front, Lakshya is currently enjoying the success of his show Ba***ds of Bollywood. Janhavi have Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari set to release on Dusshera.
