Varun Dhawan starrer Sunny Sanskar Ki Tulsi Kumari had hit the theatres yesterday. The film had an opening of nearly ₹9 crores at the box-office. The film also stars Janhavi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf in leading roles.

However, the Student of the Year actor was allegedly accused online by netizens as one of the most insecure actor and who asked his director of Sunny Sanskari Shashank Khaitan to cut his co-stars scenes in order to get the most focus in the film. 

In an recent interview the actor on being asked clarified it. But before him his leading lady in the film denied it and said He is the last person who would do that. For the record, I have been in this industry for 6-7 years worked with enough people, and heard enough stories. 

He is maybe one of the only people who is so secure and wise enough to understand that a movie is a collective effort and so he gets a lot of joy in building other people up.

After which Varun responded At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which way narrative swings. I don't like to pay attention to that. My friendships with my co-stars over the years are a testament to that. I do feel I have a lot of love from my fans who have always stood by me. All around the world, they have always had my back, whether hits or flops.

Varun is one of those actors in the current generation who has done most of the ensemble films with his contemporaries as well as senior actors. His films include right from Student of the Year, Dilwale, Kalank, Jug Jug Jiyo, Dishaon, Street Dancer and ABCD 2. 

On the work front, Varun will be seen in Border 2 which is yet another ensemble film casting Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty to name a few. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar under his banner T-Series.

He also has No Entry 2 which is set to be a massive starcast film and is in the comedy genre. Varun will share screen space with his buddy and co-star Arjun Kapoor.
