Mohit Suri & YRF Team Up for another romantic musical saga!

Mohit Suri's recent success at the box-office Saiyaara made a history as the highest grossing Indian romantic film. The film collected 550 crores at the worldwide box-office. Saiyaara was also well received by audiences and critics alike. 

It also launched two debutant actors Aneet Padda and Ananya Panda's cousin brother Ahaan Panday. After Saiyaara's success Mohit got various offers from across industries to make a film. Rather Mohit choose again to collaborate with Yash Raj Films as his another upcoming film will be produced by Akshaye Widhani. 

They both collaborated on Saiyaara which blew the mind of the audiences. Sources close to their upcoming film reveal that Mohit is again going to make a musical saga and in the same space of romantic genre. However, the makers will showcase a brand new world in this genre. 

Akshaye and Mohit are set to explore new opportunities in the romantic space and wants to make this genre again in the lives of audiences and viewers. Aditya Chopra is also on the same lines with them and want to focus on the genre in his upcoming films. It will be interesting to watch what unique and fresh Akshaye and Mohit will showcase in their second collaboration. 

The film is expected to go on floors in mid 2026. The casting will start from early next year to find an ideal couple for the film. The sources reveal that the casting of the film will start once the first draft of the film gets locked. Mohit along with his team of writers are expected to develop the screenplay of the film.

Talking about Mohit Suri's journey in the Hindi film industry he is a well known director primarily recognized for his work in the romance, musical and thriller genres. He made his directorial debut with Emraan Hashmi, Shamita Shetty and Udiya Goswami's Zeher in 2025. 

After which he directed films such as Kalyug, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Murder 2, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Half Girlfriend, Malang, Ek Villain Returns. Mohit is married to actress and DJ Udita Goswami. 

According to various reports Ahaan Panday has signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films. There are unconfirmed reports that he is in talks for a couple of other projects, including a potential action drama with a major streaming platform and a possible bilingual film.

Mohit Suri, has hinted that they may not be making a sequel to the film, as they want to preserve its classic status. On the other hand, Aneet Padda has a film called Nyaya which she reportedly shot before Saiyaara. The film is a courtroom drama and is directed by Nitya Mehra.
