Early Life and Career Beginnings
Anita had been in the television industry for long; she began her career with the television series Idhar Udhar in 1998, portraying the character Anushka.
She soon elevated her presence with a special appearance in the Hindi film Taal in 1999.
Her breakthrough in films came with the Telugu movie Nuvvu Nenu in 2001, which was a commercial success.
She then ventured into Tamil cinema with Varushamellam Vasantham in 2002; her role was critically acclaimed.
Television Stardom
If you are a regular television watcher, it is hard to miss Anita's portrayal of Shagun Arora Raghav in the popular series Yeh Hai Mohabbatein (2013–2019), which not only gave her fame but an identity as well and a lot of awards.
