Family Man 3 Actor Rohit Basfore Found Dead in Guwahati, Family Suspects Foul Play

Rohit Basore, who acted in Family Man 3 starring Manoj Bajpayee, was found dead near the Garbhanga Waterfalls in Guwahati on Sunday, April 27th, afternoon, when he was on a short outing with friends.

Reportedly it is said that the actor died by drowning, while the postmortem reports are awaited before concluding anything. Though family members hinted at something else, they suspected foul play.

According to police sources, Rohit had gone on a picnic with nine colleagues when he reportedly slipped and fell into a waterfall. The incident occurred around 2 PM near the Rani Police Outpost.

Reportedly police said, “We received information around 4 PM and reached the spot by 4:30 PM. The SDRF team recovered the body around 6:30 PM.”

Initial investigations suggest that Rohit fell accidentally. No foul play is suspected at this stage. The body has been sent for postmortem, and further investigation is ongoing.

Rohit, a few months ago, had only just returned to his hometown in Assam. Reportedly it is said that Rohit on Sunday went on a short trip with his friends. He had informed his family about it, but later the family lost connection with him and soon received a call from his friend informing them about the accident. He was declared dead on arrival.

Though family with his sudden death suspects foul play, even police have confirmed that multiple injuries were found in the autopsy conducted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital, including wounds on the head, face, and other parts, which hints at something more.

However, the family has made certain claims, and a few people are on the suspect list, including the family's claim that the actor was recently involved in a parking dispute during which three individuals — Ranjit Basfore, Ashok Basfore, and Dharam Basfore — had allegedly threatened his life.
Another one is Amardeep, a gym owner who reportedly invited Rohit to the day trip as a person of interest.
