Dhanush Begins Shooting for D54 with Director Vignesh Raja After Wrapping Up Tere Ishk Mein

Actor Dhanush has officially kick-started the shooting of his next Tamil film, tentatively titled D54, with director Vignesh Raja. The film began with a formal pooja ceremony on July 10, marking the beginning of production. This comes right after Dhanush completed his Hindi film Tere Ishk Mein.

D54 is said to be a period drama, and the first-look poster has already generated buzz. The poster shows Dhanush standing in a scorched cotton field with fire blazing in the background, hinting at an intense and gripping storyline. The film is directed by Vignesh Raja, best known for his acclaimed work in Por Thozhil, and is being produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh under Vels Film International in association with Think Studios.

Joining Dhanush in the lead is Premalu actress Mamitha Baiju. The supporting cast includes several well-known names from the South Indian film industry, such as Jayaram, K.S. Ravikumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiaraj. Music for the film will be composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, reuniting with Dhanush once again after several successful collaborations. Filming for D54 is expected to be completed within 90 days, and the team is aiming for a smooth production schedule.
