Dabba Cartel is a crime series with unending suspense. The exceptional performance by Shabana Azmi and Jyotika is something to look forward to.
Dabba Cartel is not your regular crime drama; it is more than that, much more complex, much more intense, and will leave you more emotionally connected with characters.
Story
Against the serene background of a nondescript tiffin service, Dabba Cartel reveals the dark underbelly of a world of deceit, betrayals, and crime. A seemingly innocent home-cooked meal delivery service turns out to be a facade for a sophisticated subterranean network. As events progress, the ladies who run the operation find themselves walking on thin ice, threatened by criminals and law enforcers alike.
The storyline is carefully crafted with layers of suspense, and at every turn, they bring stunning surprises. The series unfolds slowly to flesh out the characters so the audience gets to understand the personal demons, drives, and aspirations that make them tick. This lends an emotional depth to the series that makes every choice and outcome feel real.
Acting
At the center of Dabba Cartel are the outstanding performances by Shabana Azmi and Jyotika. Azmi, who has a commanding presence on screen, gives another superb performance, playing strength and vulnerability with ease. Her acting as a woman thoroughly immersed in the world of crime is intense and subtle.
Jyotika, however, is the one who brings some much-needed freshness to the show. Her transformation from an average woman to one who is deeply entrenched in the cartel business is done with style. The chemistry between the two women helps lend credibility to the story, and their partnership becomes believable and engaging.
The supporting cast is also to be commended, with every character playing their part in the unfolding drama. Their acting helps to create the tension, making viewers care about every twist.
Direction & Screenplay
The direction of Dabba Cartel is taut, with a tightly paced narrative that never falters. The cinematography gets the griminess of the crime world without compromising on visual beauty that adds to the narrative. Every frame is well thought out to capture the underlying tension of the story.
The script is yet another highlight, effortlessly shifting from suspense, drama, and intense action. The dialogue is taut, which contributes to the realism of the characters and situations. The integration of crime and character moments provides a balance, making Dabba Cartel interesting throughout.
A Must-Watch Crime Drama
Why are we saying this? It is because of the promising acting and amazing suspense and how it all comes together in the end.
