CID 2: ACP Pradyuman’s Death & Parth Samthaan's Exit Rumors! Are They True?

We saw earlier that CID had made its comeback, but what left everyone shocked was the exit of the iconic character ACP Pradyuman played by Shivaji Satam from the show.

Speculations were many about makers of this decision, but no official statement confirmed that. The audience was met with another shock with Parth Samthaan's entry as ACP Ayushmann, replacing Shivaji Satam.

Parth faced a lot of backlash, as the audience was not ready to accept a new ACP, because what made CID iconic was ACP Pradyuman and the OG cast.

Parth is a known and loved actor, but the reports suggest Parth Samthaan shall soon make an exit from the show, as the show's viewership and TRP are getting affected.

Though reportedly it is said that the rumors might be false, as the show is in direct competition with IPL 2025, and this might have severely affected the viewership of the show.

It is also said that maybe the whole APC Praduyman thing is a gimmick, and the audience needs to wait before making conclusions. The source said, “The rumors of Parth leaving might be false. The channel has to understand that the easy availability of CID 2 online and competition from IPL 2025 have severely affected the viewership of the show. Just Shivaji Satam's exit was a promotional gimmick; we have to wait for some time to know the clear picture.”

A few days later, Sony TV announced the death of ACP Pradyuman's character by uploading a post on X.

Captioned it, “ACP Pradyuman is no more. In the loving memory of ACP Pradyuman… A loss that will never be forgotten.”

Though Parth or Sony are yet to confirm or make comment about anything. We will have to wait for things to turn out. Till then, stay tuned.
