Anupama 18th August 2025 Written Episode Update: Anupama and Prarthana's Last Try to Bring Kotharis! While Vasundhara will bring legal papers to the marriage.

The episode starts with Anupama questioning society: why aren't daughters asked before marrying them? Why didn't they give a choice? Prarthana says she also didn't get a choice; she wanted to pursue a career, but her family didn't even ask about if she wanted to get married or not. Anupama says parents don't understand that this is a collective discussion and says to Parag that even his coustomer make an independent choice. Vasundhara says, "What is Anupama saying?"

Anupama says that times have changed and they should think about marital courtship, which means that a guy and girl should meet before marriage in the presence of families. Vasundhara calls this a shameless idea and says that from her experience, whichever marriage happened without parents' approval, divorce happens in them. Anupama says Prarthana's was an arranged marriage. Vasundhara blames Anupama and Ansh for this, but Anupama says it is all because of Gautam, and they didn't even ask her once. She says if they had met before marriage, Prarthana might not even have married him. Vasundhara slowly claps. Spending some time together, they can know a person? Vasundhara says that spending the whole day is necessary. Vasundhara shouts that she never thought Anupama's thinking would be like that, saying "marriage" happens with compromises and adjustments.

Anupama says adjustment goes both ways, while Khyati personally attacks Anupama, asking how long her marriage lasted. Saying neither love nor her marriage worked, saying, "What happened to marital courtship in her love marriage?" Prem asks Khyati to stop, but she shouts at him. Anupama asks him to stop. She says to Khyati that Prem used to hate her, but she knows their relation. Anupama says she only knows her relation, and still if she wants to know, she will tell her in detail, but she has no time, as her grandson is getting married, and asks them to focus on Prarthana, not her, and says even Parag has married twice, so why is it wrong for Prarthana? Because she is a girl?

Gauram says, "What is the guarantee that Ansh will keep happy?" Anupama tells Gautam to stop, asking what problem they have with Ansh. They can ask anyone; he is hardworking, earns enough, and has taken on family responsibility and, moreover, loves and respects Prarthana, while Anupama says, "Why are they thinking negatively?" Saying Prarthana's baby will get a name and asking them to free their daughter and give them wings this Independence Day, Vasundhara shouts that till people like Anupama take advantage, they will misuse it. Vasundhara questions Anupama's character and life choices, saying, "Where has she gotten doing all this?" She is all alone, saying, "What did I do with freedom?" Still struggling? Anupama says at least she tried and didn't die. Before dying, Anupama says she has earned and spent so much; she says she knows the value of happiness.

Anupama takes a leave, saying tomorrow is the wedding, and if they come, the children will feel happy. Prarthana tells them to come to their daughter's wedding. Anupama addresses Rahi, saying a daughter feels pain without her father, but Prarthana's father is here, and both God and Prarthana will be happy. While Leela says, "Why did Anupama go?" Saying marriage won't stop, Pakhi also adds fuel, but Jaspreet stops her from saying anything speaking against Anupama. They start to fight; Leela stops them. While Prarthan asks Anupama, what if her parents didn't come? Anupama says they will, and they tried their best and now leave it to God. While Anupama gets down to Anu's rasoi, memories come back, and Anupama gets emotional as she enters the kitchen.

Precap: As the haldi function will begin, the Shahs will enjoy it, whereas Gautam will manipulate Vasundhara into thinking about why Kothari's and Ghandhi's child will get Shah's name. Vasundhara will reach the Shah house saying she is not there to celebrate but rather to free Prarthana from responsibility.
