Filmmaker Amar Kaushik, a guiding force behind the popular Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), offered some clear and compelling reasons for the decision to cast Aneet Padda as the lead in the highly anticipated next installment, Shakti Shalini. This choice, which follows Padda's breakthrough performance in the romantic drama Saiyaara, signals a deliberate strategy by the team to refresh the franchise with new talent.

One of the primary factors in Aneet Padda's casting was the evolution of the character during the scriptwriting process for Shakti Shalini. Kaushik and the writers realized that the demands of the titular role required an artist with a specific kind of energy. 

The character ultimately called for a younger actor someone who could bring a fresh perspective and perhaps even a degree of novelty to the established universe.
