Actor Mukul Dev Brother of Actor Rahul Dev Passed Away at Age of 54

Mukul Dev, Actor known for films like R Rajkumar, Son of Sardaar, and other films and television serials, passed away. The actor passed away on Friday night; it is said that he was not well for the last few days and was admitted to the ICU in his hometown, Delhi.

Though the reason for death is yet to be confirmed. The news came to light when Mukul's close friend, actress Deepshikha Nagpal, shared a picture on her Instagram story, a throwback picture, saying, "RIP." She shared, "I can't believe this, Muks... RIP." And soon many of Mukul's colleagues and loved ones reached his abode on Saturday after knowing about his demise to pay their respects.

Who Was Mukul?
Mukul Dev was born in New Delhi into a Punjabi family with roots in a village near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, an assistant commissioner of police, was the one who introduced him to Afghan culture. His father could speak Pashto and Persian. An early exposure to the world of entertainment for the actor was when, in class 8, he got his first paycheck when he impersonated Michael Jackson for a dance show organized by Doordarshan.

An All-Rounder
Mulkul was a great actor without a doubt, but he also was a trained pilot from the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi.

Mukul's Achievements
Mulkul made his debut in acting with a television serial 'Mumkin,' in which he played the role of Vijay Pandey in 1996. He also acted in Doordarshan's 'Ek Se Badh Kar Ek,' a comedy Bollywood countdown show.
He was also the host of 'Fear Factor India' season 1. He started his journey in films with 'Dastak,' in which he essayed the role of ACP Rohit Malhotra. The film also marked the debut of the former Sushmita Sen.
