Actor Lalit Manchanda, Last Seen in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Dies by Suicide in Meerut, Reportedly Because of Mental Stress

Shocking news surfaced on the internet when actor Lalit Manchanda, who was 36 years old, was tragically discovered dead at his Meerut residence on Monday, April 21.

Though the initial reports suggest that what police suspect was a suicide, authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

His body was discovered hanging inside his house in Meerut.

Police received the call and swiftly took action as they reached his house and sent the body for postmortem.

Lack of a suicide note makes things a bit more complex in solving this case. Neither police found any strange things that point out involvement of outsiders.

The news has shocked everyone who knew the actor, be it his friends, fans, or colleagues.

Though the reason is unknown, reportedly it is said that he was suffering from mental stress and was struggling in his personal life.

Lalit Manchanda will always be known for his roles and acting in Bollywood films and television shows.

It is said that Lalit had a web series in the pipeline, which he was very patiently working on and was hopeful about.

Many from the fraternity came forward to pay tribute to the deceased actor, and one among them was CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association), as they shared a photo of Lalit on their official Instagram account. It was captioned, "CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012)."

Lalit was last seen doing a cameo in one of the popular shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

His picture with Dilip Joshi has surfaced.

Though initial reports directed towards suicide, police are looking more into it as they investigate family and close friends, trying to find a clue, as the absence of suicide made it more difficult for them.

Lalit had made multiple appearances and played different roles in his career. He had also done cameos and episodics in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Crime Patrol, India's Most Wanted, and so on. The demise news was even shocking for his close ones and family; many remember him for his work and his kindness.
