Shabana Azmi's 75th Birthday stars like Hrithik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan amongst others gathered!

Legendary actress Shabana Azmi recently turned 75. Some leading celebrities from the film industry gathered to wish the actress and to celebrate with her. She is in the industry for over 50 years now and has appeared in some of the iconic films in the Hindi Film Industry. 

Her star studded celebration had Hrithik Roshan, Saba Azad, Farhan Akhtar, Shibani Akhtar, Neena Gupta, Farah Khan, Maheep Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, Rekha, Karan Johar, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Urmila Matondkar and Sonu Nigam to name a few. The evening turned special by the grace of all the celebrities. 

Shabana along with her husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar shared a romantic dance on the song Pretty Little Baby. Everyone was in awe to see them dance together in an innocent and loving way. People were mesmerized to see them dancing together. 

For her birthday Shabana wore a Maroon ensemble by a statement brooch and looked fabulous in the outfit. Whereas, Javed Akhtar was seen in a red kurta and a black Nehru jacket. They both looked stunning together. 

A video surfaced online saw Rekha dancing with Madhuri, Vidya and Urmila on the song Kaisi Paheli Zindagani from Parineeta which featured Vidya Balan in the lead role. Fans are in awe and could not believe at their sight of seeing the timeless diva Rekha in a black and white ensemble performing so gracefully at this age. 

Rekha adorned herself with her iconic turban style headgear, oversized sunglasses and gold jewellery. Vidya balan wore a textured grey gown. While Madhuri opted for a red outfit. Urmila wore a gold and black stylish dress for the evening. 

Shabana was last seen in Dabba Cartel. The film revolves around 5 women featuring Shabana, Shalini Pandey, Jyothika, Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Anand. Five middle-class homemakers in Thane start a high-stakes drug cartel that operates by secretly transporting illicit goods inside their homemade tiffin (dabba) delivery service.

Shabana made her debut with Shyam Benegal's Ankur which came in the hear 1974. She holds the record for Best Actress a record five times for her roles in Ankur (1974), Arth (1982), Khandhar (1984), Paar (1885) and Godmother (1999).

While known for serious art house films like Arth, Masoom and Fire she has also worked in mainstream films like Amar Akbar Anthony, and more recently in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. For the latter she won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.
