Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap called Salman Khan a 'Criminal!'
Superstar Salman Khan has always been in the news for both good and bad things. On one had he does charity under his charitable organization Being Human to help the needy by providing the basics for a livelihood. And on the other hand he is also accused of snatching careers of big personalities in the film industry.
Abhinav Kashyap who happens to be Anurag Kashyap's brother and the director of Dabangg had recently opened up and revealed unknown things about Salman and his family whom he allegedly claim to experience while working with them during the filming of Dabangg.
He revealed in an interview how Salman had to change his image he created with Wanted and Tere Naam of a Chhichhora and Mawali. He decided to change it with Abhinav's film in Dabangg. For those who don't know it was Arbaaz Khan whom Abhinav first approached to play the lead role of Chulbul Pandey.
But after sometime he opted out and decided to produce the film himself. Though he played the character of Makhi in the film. Talking about his earlier image of a chhichhora, someone who would harass women on streets or who happens to be a roadside romeo. This was in 2008 when Abhinav signed the film. The image was even stronger as he did the towel dance in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Abhinav continued and called Salman a criminal and his family which is not normal. He called his family not normal. He said they are proven criminals. Salman himself is out on bail. He is a convicted criminal out on bail. A criminal is a criminal.
He went on to claim there are things which even I know. A few weeks ago Abhinav in an another interview called Salman a Goon. He also went on to speak about his interest in acting. Abhinav said Salman is never involved in the process of acting of making a film. And since 25 years he hasn't been interested in acting. He said Salman does a favour by turning up to work. He is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a goon.
He even said that Salman is ill-mannered and vindictive. He is the father of the star system in Bollywood. He comes from a film family which has been in the film industry from last 50 years. He continues the process. They are vindictive people. They control the whole process. If you don't agree with them they come after you.
Talking about director Abhinav Kashyap apart from Dabangg, he directed Besharam which starred Ranbir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Pallavi Sharda in lead roles. The film was released in 2013 and was a disaster at the box-office. Previously, Abhinav worked as a screenwriter in Jung (2002). He wrote dialogues for films like Manorama: Six Feet Under (2007) and 13B (2009)
Talking about Dabangg the film apart from Salman and Arbaaz features Sonakshi Sinha as Rajjo. It was her debut as an actor. The negative villain was played by Sonu Singh as Chedi Singh. The film was produced by Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora Khan and Dhilin Mehta.
It was a major commercial success and marked the beginning of a successful film franchise. The film's music and songs were widely appreciated. Like Tere Mast Mast Do Nain, Hud Hud Dabangg, Humka Peeni Hai. The film's music was by Sajid-Wajid. Dabangg is also famous for item song "Munni Badnaam" featuring Malaika Arora. This was composed by Lalit Pandit. And was choreographed by choreographer turned director Farah Khan.
