Will our beloved Dayaben ever return to the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma ?

Since 2008 the longest running comedy show of Indian television Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma has only seen and touched heights. The popularity that show has hold onto since more than a decade is commendable. But Dayaben, Jethalal's wife who used to be a formidable force, her presence is missing in the show. 

Dayaben aka Disha Vakani has been missing from the show for last 8 years. Now, his brother Mayur Vakani aka Sunderlal revealed about the new phase of Disha. He said that Disha is living a new life as she is busy with her children and wouldn't return to the show. 

This is a major statement coming from his brother about Disha which could break hearts of Dayaben's fans. Mayur said that he has seen Disha's life very closely and says she is blessed and is very talented. But with that talent she has put in years of hard work into her craft. That is the reason everyone adores Dayaben. 

Mayur continued saying that his father adviced him that in life too we are actors. And that what ever role we be given we should play that sincerely. Disha is currently playing the role of a mother and with full dedication she is performing the part. 

However, a few months back Asitkumar Modi confirmed to news website that Disha would not return to the show. He had said that returning to the show seems difficult for Disha. For a women, life changes after marriage. But he also said that he is thinking positive and is hoping that somewhere God will do a miracle and Disha will return to the show. 

He said if Disha returns to TMKOC it will be great. And if the plan does not go as we wish then I will have to bring a new Dayaben for the show. Dayaben is a very challenging role and with which mastery and conviction Disha played it is phenomenal. 

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma apart from Disha also features Jethalal urf Dilip Joshi. The show is conceptualized around Gokuldham society and it's members. The show is produced by Asitkumar Modi and is based on weekly column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma by late Indian columnist, humorist and writer Taarak Mehta.
